The Lyrics in Life 5

Turns out I fell asleep when I was laying there listening to "Things I'll Never Say" by Avril Lavigne on repeat. Hahaha! Reallll smooooth, right?
"Hey Ava. Ava? Ava?!"
Josh lifted my sunglasses only to see my closed eyelids. No blue eyelids or purple or whatever. I don't tend to wear that much makeup... I just don't see the point on putting it on everyday. Sure I don't have a problem with makeup on a special occasion but other than that I'll live with my trusty Burt Bee's chapstick or Hard Candy lip gloss.
He shook my shoulders.
"AVA??"
I opened my eyes with Josh leaning over me and his hands on my shoulders. I thought for surrrree that he was gonna kiss me now, so I closed my eyes again. But instead of feeling the sweet touch from his luscious lips, I felt the release from my shoulders and him getting off me.
"Come on, Ava. I gotta get going it's already four o'clock, and practice starts at five."
"Huh? Oh yeahhh... right. Ok well..."
"Yeah so I'm going ok?"
Josh hopped on his bike.
"Oh. Umm... yeah." I said while I was getting up. I walked over to him, and he wrapped his arms around me. Locked in a hug, I wanted to last forever, he said, "I'll talk to ya later k?" And with the end of his sentence, came the end of the hug...
"Yeah," I said, with the least bit of disappointment. Even though I was more disappointed than a front row, ah-doring fan finding out a concert had just been cancelled.
See, now I don't know how to feel when he does this kind of stuff. He's leaving. I'm sad. He hugs me. I'm happy. So should my feelings be balancing out or something? 'Cause I can assure you that's not how it feels. For some reason I think the sadness overwhelms the happiness, unfortunately. Like I said before, I hate it when he does this...

I pulled into the driveway on my skateboard. What... is that what I think it is? Yessssss... It's Amanda's bike! I walked in the front door to the living room. Amanda and Delilah were sitting on the couch watching the Simpsons; the episode with the Screamapillar.
"Heyyy!" I said, as I walked in dropped my helmet on the floor and stepped out of my flip flops.
"Hey Ava!" Amanda jumped up, ran over and gave me a biggg hug. "I haven't seen you in like foreverrr. I decided to ride my bike over so we could hang out."
"Haha yeahh foreverrr... Amanda it's been 3 days."
"Heyy... 3 days is a long time ok?"
We both began to walk to my room laughing. I love Amanda! We are huh-larious together... well and apart but were funnier together.
"So where were ya?"
"Oh I was just hanging out with Josh at the beach," I said while I set my purse down on my bed and put my iPod in my iHome.
"Josh? Ava... I'm telling you, you two should just go out and be done with it." Amanda let out a chuckle as she lay down on my magazine and clothes infested bed.
"Ewwwww... no." I retorted. Hehe... by the way, did I tell you although I tell Amanda everything, I didn't tell her everything. Well, let's just say I haven't told her I about Josh... yet.
"Oh puh-leez Ava! Who are you trying to kid, everyone can see it. And I'm not just anyone. I'm your bestestestest friend, and trust me, I can see it."
"Well then I guess you're losing your Spidey Senses 'cause I'm not just anyone either. Last time I checked, about 3 seconds ago, I'm Ava. And I think if anyone knew if Ava liked someone, it would be Ava... right?"
"Yeah... but... ugh fine. But I'm telling you..."
"Haha whatever." And with that I turned on my iHome letting it begin all it's glory in music playing. Out blasted "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne.
"Hey here's your song, Ava," Amanda snickered.
"What? Why is this my song?" I gave her a befuddled look. Then a frustrated look.
"Ha. Ha. Your sooo funny, Amanda."
"Hahahaha! What? It's truuueee you want to be Josh's girlfriend right?"
"Hahaha... no. I think I'll change the song now." I gave her a grin, of course a sarcastic one.
Quickly I flipped to a song that she couldn't relate to me and Josh, guaranteed. "Lip Gloss" by Lil Mama. The strong beat, blared through the speakers. Now I hate lying to Amanda... but she wouldn't understand. I know what you're thinking, well she seemed to understand without you telling her. But it's not like that. She thinks I spend more time with him than with her, and she isn't very fond of him... to say the least. So no one knows I like Josh. Ok so people may know... but I haven't told anyone.
"Ooooo Ava take a look at this!" Amanda pointed to something in Seventeen Magazine. I crawled over and read: Chemistry? It was one of those quiz thingies. "Alright number one..." Amanda began, "When he sits next to you in your bio class and his knee brushes against yours does he... A. quickly move his leg so their not touching B. blushes, moves his leg and says sorry C. leaves his leg there even though both of you know it's there?"
"Ummm C." I decided. Well it's true. Josh used to sit next to me in Bio, yes Bio, and that happened all the time... but since this happened when I didn't know I liked him, it meant nothing... at the time.
"Ok..." She said, while she circled something. "Number twooo. When he leaves you or you and a group of people he... A. says bye then leaves B. says it was really great seeing you C. hugs you?"
"..... C... again haha."
"Number three, do you think you give him enough hints for him to know that you're into him? A. no... B. maybe C. yes!"
"Hmm... B."
"Last question, number ten, in front of others he's... A. afraid to talk to you B. afraid to show affection towards you C. neither he'll do both!"
"Uhh... C."
"K so now I tally the score and it says... ooieeee you two are on fiyah! With the chemistry between you two, it's surprising you two aren't going out. He isn't afraid to let you know he's into you. And you're also letting it show. The of you are defintitely sparking with chemistry so maybe you two should try and give it a go. Hmmm... and what guy are you referring to?"
"I dunno, m-my dream guy?" I stuttered. Technically I wasn't lying. My dream guy is Josh... so...
"Ooo I lovvvee this song! Turn it up!" Amanda shrieked.
I spun the volume wheel on the iHome till it went up to 35.
