The Lyrics in Life 6

Sorry about this... but I was really busy today so this chapter is probably gonna be shorter than my other chapters, I mean come on give an author a break it's like 11:30 right now and my party guests just left and I'm really tired from running around being the perfect party host so... work with me here. =] Gracias

continued...

"AHHHHHHH!!!!! OHHH MY GOSHHHH!!!! AVAAAAA!!!! YOUR HEEE-ERRR" my friends screamed like crazed fans when my dad's pristine Black Range Rover pulled up and dropped me off at the Shorn's residence. My dad was giving me the typical run-down on what and what not to do at a house party... and of course the ahbvious reminders...
"Now remember your mom has some difficulty with directions."
"I knowww...."
"Especially at night..." He mumbled.
"Haha I know dad."
Outside the fanatic and cuh-razyy friends began their screaming. A few of them even ran up to my car window. I opened my door to my ah-doring populace.
"Remember *scream* mom *shriek* picking *shout "Ava"* .... I think I'll just let *music from inside* go"
"Haha THANKS DAD, I'LL SEE YOU TONIGHT... ya I know I'm coming just hold on... I LOVE YOU BYE!!" I shouted over the mixture of music, screaming, and occasional "come on". I didn't even wait for the car to pull away. I ran inside the house with Graci Shorn (the party host), Amanda, Tiffany, Sara, Taylor, and Chloe... well those were the people I could see. Anyways it's Graci's 14th Summer Birthday Bash. Ehhvverryone's there. I mean everyone, the place was packed. I was wearing the most gorgeous dress anyone's deprived eyes have ever seen. A soft rose pink lace babydoll dress... what more can a girl do to look stunningly beautiful. Now this was an occasion for makeup ;D When they say dressed to impress... oh I was beyond that I was dressed and prepared for gawks and stares. After my share of hugs went around, the official dress-check began.
"OhEmGee... that dress is fiiiinne." Taylor said like she was stating the ahbvious... well, she was :D hehe.
"I knoww. Seriously Ava that dress is ah-dorable!" Amanda added, like the supporting friend she is.
"Really... that dress is really pretty. Where'd you get it?" Tiffany asked, with genuine curiosity, unlike some girls who just ask to "seem" nice.
"Umm... I can't remember." I lied. "Haha it's an old dress, I just don't get a lot of use out of it." I lied again. To tell you the truth, I just bought it. And technically it is old just... it wasn't mine before. I found it at the nearest Goodwill and "fixed" it up. I'm majorly creative when it comes to fashion.
"Oh. Well, come on girls I see some guys over there just waiting to be danced with!" Amanda suggested, or more like directed. We followed her to the living room, which had been cleared off all it's furniture. The lights had been dimmed and a few colorful flashy lights had been added for the dancey vibe.
"Wow, Graci. Lovvve the decor, it's super tight."
"Thankss," she purred. "It took a lot of time to make this set up."
"I'll bet..." I said, my voice trailing off while I looked around the room. I spotted a couple of cute guys but one guy stood out more than everyone else. Wanna guess who? I'd like to guess too. Bet you thought I was going to say Josh, but this guy was definitely not Josh, 'cause even I didn't know him... and I know almost everyone. Ooo... but speaking of Josh... I walked over to Josh.
"Hey."
"Hey Ava." He said as he once again embraced me in a warm hug. I could smell, he had just taken a shower... probably just got back from football practice too. If he hadn't taken a shower, I wouldn't be hugging him. Trust me, I love him... maybe not that much, haha. I sighed, you would too if you felt like you were in heaven.
"Is something wrong?" He sounded concerned.
"Huh? Wha- ohh haha no."
"Oh. Ok... umm Ava?"
I looked up at him. Deep into his eyes.
"Yes?"
"Come on, you wanna go get a soda or something?"
"Umm... sure." I said unsure. He was acting kinda strange. We walked into the kitchen he opened the ice chest and pulled out to Sierra Mists. He opened and handed one to me.
"Thanks."
"Umm... Ava?"
"Yes?"
Again I looked up at him. His eyes were glowing. They flickered with life, with love. Oh how I wished he were mine.
"I've been wanting to tell you... for a while now."
"Yes?"
We were standing in the kitchen all alone. I could hear "The Way I Are" by Timbaland playing out in the living room. That is like my jaaammm. I should so be dancing to this, I thought. Oh but it can wait... for Josh.
"Well..."
Bam. The door swung open.
"Heyyy man, there ya are! We've been looking all over for ya!" Chase let out, panting. (Most likely from dancing)
"Oh... yeah I'm coming." Josh turned to me. His brown eyes' energy slowly decreasing. "I'll tell ya later."
"Oh. Ok." Just like that he walked out. What the heck! What was that! He totally just blew me off!! >=[ *sigh* I threw the newly opened Sierra Mist in the trash and walked into the hall, which was thankfully empty. I slumped against the wall. I quickly jumped up when the bathroom door opened, and that guy I saw earlier dancing walked out. Oh wow. He was soo much cuter up close. And he took my mind off Josh for the moment.
"Heyy... do I know you?" He asked.
I looked down the hall toward him. He did look faintly familiar.
"Umm I don't think so..."
"Haha oh well I just thought that.... wait a minute... Canturn? Ava Canturn her hips?"
What? What was he talking about... Canturn, my last name... oh my gawdd... it can't be...
"Motor mouth?"
"Haha Ava... wow you've... changed."
"Chyeah... you too Chris."
"I haven't seen you since... well, ya know..."
"We broke up. It's ok to say it. It was like 2 years ago."
"I know, I just didn't know if you were ok with it."
"Me? Last time I checked I broke up with you." I said, amazed that Chris Motors could be that vain. No, you know what? What is even sadder, is that I wasn't surprised...
"Yeah, you did... and I accepted it, but..." He looked at me. Oh he couldn't be thinking of trying to go out with me again...
"We're older now, and we've both changed. So..."
"Hey. Look I've got a friend's birthday to celebrate so... I'll see you around." I turned my back, and for the first time that day I felt good. Good, about myself.
"Flattery" by Aly & AJ
Please don't flatter yourself
You're not the only one
This heart has ever felt
Please don't exaggerate
Don't tell me you're okay, okay, okay
I will admit it, if you admit it
It's harder then we both thought
It's easier to fall apart
Look where we are
I can't forgive it
I can't forget it
You've left me here with all these scars
And you can't deny the hardest part
I'm not in your arms
